Got back to Berkeley! Didn't have internet in Las Vegas so am catching up on things right now. Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was a good one. :D Mine was good, and fairly productive. I got my outlining all caught up, and did a little work on my paper. Not as much as I would have liked, but it's still something.

Played Rabbids with friends last night until 3 am. That game is insane, and my arm is soreeee. XD Not as bad as it used to get though, so that might be a good thing since it means I am less fragile? Or something! But it was fun. AND THERE WAS YUMMY CAKE. Yay!

And omg, why is Ienzo a little 10-year old? Not only does this totally mess up all my fic (maybe not "Butterfly Kisses" and the sequel; I need to go back and check on what the hell happens there), but it's just... why is he so tiny?! It's just so weird. Is this because this is several years before the entire 'whee, let's plunge the world into darkness ohSHIT' debacle, or does something happen to him to make him go through puberty in two seconds?

Also, this is bad because I've always thought that people who made him an apprentice at 10 were being utterly ridiculous. Oops. My bad.

Sorry for being late, I'm going to be honest, I did work on it through the month of october, making several linearts before settling for the one I chose, but it should definitely have been in sooner.

It wasn't until I was in the shading that I realized I bit off significantly more than I could chew. I'm really new to dramatic lighting, and even dramatic posing. I did and redid the shading, and it felt like nothing I could do was right. I thought it would be fun to try digital, which I haven't done in more than 3 years. I...I didn't realize how time-consuming it is! I had totally forgotten how to work the program. It took a bit of reschooling but I managed to finish after redoing it a couple times.

It's not perfect, but I'd like to think it came out alright despite taking so long O_O

THEY ARE SHOWING SPACE CASES IN FRENCH ON A FRENCH-LANGUAGE KIDS TV CHANNEL AND I KNOW ABOUT IT BUT CANNOT GET TO IT AAAAAAAARGH.

So I am trying everything save from hopping a plane to France. Perhaps I should start making friends of French/Belgian people with DVRs very quickly. It only runs once a day on weekdays, so I have a bit of time but not much and I just realized that it is 3:30AM and I should be in bed. So. If any of you have the key to the mystery, I will trade a bag of nougat and the limb of your choice for it. And does satellite TV on the PC work? I do not know, but I may find out soon.

Off to go do laundry and dye my hair. A day in the life~

So I had a dream last night wherein I got a phone call from someone from college. We started talking and I asked him how he was, etc, the general small talk. He told me he was doing well and then talk proceeded to things we were doing. I asked him how his latest project was and he went off on me about how I should stop asking him because he knows I'm just going to steal his ideas. I said no, it's that I'm interested in the same things and that I wanted to support him with stuff. The phone goes silent, but I can tell by the sounds that he's crying on the other end. I feel bad about it, but it was nice to know he cared, right? And then he says he's just bought a new house and that I should visit for a few days or something. Then I had to end the call.
The rest of the dream was cool because it was SNL tryouts in this weird circus-like atmosphere and I got to see Kristin Wiig doing a performance and I was taking notes. I remember thinking to write in my notes, Comedy is all about steps.
Note: the subject line was part of the sketch. Which was funny.

Not sure what today brings. I want to go shopping because some deals end today and I have coupons. On the other hand, I need to see if my sinus infection- confirmed yesterday at the doctor's, got antibiotics- will let me. This may be the Day of Drainage but I'm not sure. Yuck.

In Thanksgiving news, I spent all day in Sarasota with Korinne and her lovely twin sisters at their dad's house. Woke up around eleven and have pretty much done nothing all day except watch movies. V For Vendetta, then Minority Report, which turned out to be very enjoyable despite starring Tom Cruise. Break for an absolutely delicious early dinner (green bean casserole and potatoes au gratin and buttered corn and cornbread muffins, mmmmm Thanksgiving). Then Breakfast Club, then Step Brothers, break for dessert and an intense game of Monopoly, and now Alien. HOORAY. I love vacations. :D

Happy thanksgiving, I am so full of food and I think I am sick of my LJ icons. Let's see what I can do that isn't T-Rexes here, since they are fairly non-diverse in their range of emotion.

Edit: Let's go with buddy cops. I'm a sucker for buddy cops.

I think Ray #2 is my totem animal.
